Well, it's official as of today. Vroom's forever home is here with us. I think she knew within a few days, but it took us a few weeks to figure it out:)
Welcome home sweet girl!

Time Flies!
It's hard to believe, but today is a month that Vroom has been with us. She is still doing just wonderful. Now that she has made herself at home and feels comfortable, she is really just the sweetest and most well-behaved hound. Having been in a home once before, she knows all about home life and has had perfect manners from the get go. The only thing that stresses her out a little is storms, but she seems to ride them out okay in a quiet place. I shouldn't say the only thing, we have also discovered our dishwasher has the same effect on her:-/. But, ours is very old and loud and I think that probably has a lot to do with it.
My 4-year-old daughter has been very sick this past week and Vroom seemed very worried about her. She was the perfect nurse always lying quietly by her side When my daughter isn't home, Vroom will collect her blankets and make herself a bed with them. Even though she is wonderful with children, we've had some over to play and the when the kids got a little rowdy, that was a little to much for Vroom and she looked for quiet place to keep to herself.
I realized after I posted the pictures all of the ones I've taken lately have been close-ups. It's probably because she has the sweetest face and you can't help but fall in love with those eyes! She is a beautiful sweet soul you really have to meet in person to appreciate.
Vroom has really enjoyed the meet and greets she has been to and will making appearaces again soon.

Hi from Vroom!
Hi everyone! It's Vroom here! I am having a really good time in my foster home. My foster mom tells me all the time I am the easiest foster she has ever had. I try real hard to please her and do what she wants me too. I keep forgetting I'm not supposed to get on the couch, though, but I'm getting a lot better about that. I had different rules with my first family, so sometimes it's a little hard to figure out what I'm supposed to do or not do. I would love to find a home with couch privileges, but it's not a total deal breaker for me - I'll stay off the couch if I have to. What I love most is sleeping on the bedroom floor while my people sleep at night. I am very quiet and don't make a peep. I'll even sleep as late as 8:00 or 9:00! I don't mind the crate too much, but my foster mom has barely put me in it at all. I don't chew things up, have accidents, or get into trouble. I really am a super good girl =0)
It was finally nice enough outside today that we could stay out longer than five minutes. My foster mom took me out to try to get some pictures of me. I was too interested in walking around and checking things out to pose much, but I let her snap a couple.

A nice shot of my pretty profile:)
And a funny shot to show my silly side cause I can be real silly!
I hope everyone has a fun holiday! I will update you all real soon!
Hugs and kisses,
Vroom

Meet and Greet Today
Vroom had a great time at meet and greet today. She just loved on everyone she met and really enjoyed all the attention. She is doing very well with us so far. She has had perfect house manners. She has had no accidents, is cat safe, does great on solid-surface flooring, does great on stairs, rides well in the car, walks perfect on lead, eats great, and she gets along great with my two hounds and my 4-year-old daughter. She is a total lovebug, too. She is really starting to open up and just has the sweetest personality.
I forgot to take pictures at M&G today, so I thought I'd share one of her napping with her foster brother.
I'll be posting more about Vroom this coming week, so be sure to check back!

Vroom's First Day
I picked this sweet girl up yesterday from the animal hospital after her checkup. She has been a little stressed and sad after being returned to the group from her first home and spending the night at the vet, but she has started to show some personality today. She is a very sweet hound and has pretty much been glued to me.
I took her outside today hoping to get a few good shots. It is so hot I was melting as soon as we stepped out, but you can see she enjoyed the sunshine for a few minutes:)
She went by the name "Vroom" while at the racing kennel and her name was changed to "Gracie" in her first home. She actually answers to anything you call her using a sweet voice:) She has very good house manners. She has been reserved and trying to stay out of the way, but she still loves to get petted on.
I will post more about Vroom when I get to know her better, so check back for more to come soon!
